Cookie Policy
This notice lists the cookies and browser storage mechanisms detected in the current application and explains why they are used.
- Effective date:

Current Approach
The application currently uses only technical authentication mechanisms and storage needed for features that you request, such as keeping a session, completing OAuth sign-in, saving a local workspace, and remembering interface preferences.
No advertising, profiling, or optional analytics technology was found in the repository. Because the current mechanisms are necessary for authentication, security, or an explicitly requested feature, this application does not show a consent banner asking you to accept necessary storage. If optional tracking is introduced, it must be blocked until valid granular consent is collected, with equally accessible accept and reject choices and a way to withdraw consent.
Cookies and Equivalent Storage Detected
| Name / identifier | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| better-auth.session_token (production may add a __Secure- prefix) | Hosted application / Better Auth | Maintains the authenticated session using an HTTP-only same-site cookie. | Strictly necessary / technical | Up to 7 days by default, or until sign-out/expiry |
| better-auth.oauth_state | Hosted application / Better Auth | Protects the Google and GitHub OAuth callback against request forgery. | Strictly necessary / technical | Approximately 10 minutes or until the OAuth flow ends |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Hosted application / next-intl | Remembers the language selected in the locale switcher. | Preferences | Session cookie, normally until the browser session ends |
| md-pdf-preview (IndexedDB database) | Hosted application | Stores local workspace folders, documents, and metadata when cloud sync is not used. | Strictly necessary / requested feature | Until the local data is deleted or browser site data is cleared |
| theme (localStorage) | Hosted application / next-themes | Remembers the selected visual theme. | Preferences | Until localStorage is cleared |
| md-pdf-preview:zoom-preferences (localStorage) | Hosted application | Remembers editor and preview zoom choices. | Preferences | Until localStorage is cleared |
| md-pdf-preview:desktop-sidebar-collapsed (localStorage) | Hosted application | Remembers whether the desktop sidebar is collapsed. | Preferences | Until localStorage is cleared |
| md-pdf-preview:scroll:* (sessionStorage) | Hosted application | Restores a document preview scroll position during the current browser session. | Preferences | Normally until the tab or browser session ends |
Storage Categories
A cookie is a small value stored by the browser. LocalStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB are different browser storage technologies, but they are listed here because they can perform a similar user-facing function.
- Strictly necessary / technical: required for authentication, OAuth security, security controls, or an explicitly requested application feature.
- Preferences: remembers a choice such as theme, zoom, layout, or temporary scroll position. These are not used to identify you across unrelated services.
- Analytics: measures use beyond what is needed to provide the requested feature. None is currently detected.
- Marketing / profiling: tracks people for advertising or audience profiling. None is currently detected.
Managing Storage
You can remove cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Removing the session cookie will sign you out; removing IndexedDB will delete the local workspace; removing preference storage will reset interface choices. Technical storage may be recreated when you use the related feature.
There is currently no optional-cookie consent preference to withdraw because no optional cookies or trackers are configured.
Changes
This table will be updated when the application adds, removes, or changes a storage mechanism. The effective and last-updated dates at the top of this page identify the current version.
